Is your classroom technology oriented? Do you need to get feedback from a group of people or peers? It sounds like the use of Google forms could help you! Google forms is a way to create surveys and quizzes online. Here are the basics to get you started on your first form!
1. First, you have to navigate to Google forms. Open up the Google Chrome web browser. In the address bar type in “forms.google.com”. A page will appear with different types of form outlines. Click the “Blank” or “Blank Quiz” form. Now that you have arrived at Google Forms, you can begin the process to create a quiz or survey.
2. The first step from here is to title your form where it says “Untitled form”. You may also add a description just underneath that. Before moving on to creating questions, look at the top of the window. You will see an art palette where you can change your color theme, a preview button, and a setting button. You can assign point values while you create questions for a quiz by clicking the “Answer Key” button, inputting the correct answer and assigning the point value.

You can then type the question by clicking “Question” and add answers by clicking “Add option” depending on the type of question. If it is a quiz, click answer key and you can plug in the answer and point amount.
5. Now that you’ve created your quiz or survey, it is time to send it out. At the top of the page, there is a “SEND” button. Click it and choose between sending it as an email or sending it as a link. If you send it as an email, be sure to type each recipient’s email address and do not forget to click the “Include this form in email” box. Your form will be sent and you can see the responses by coming back to the form page and clicking “Responses” at the top of the form.
